Who it’s for
- Nonprofits whose website gets traffic but whose online donations are below what they expect.
- Development, digital and marketing leads who suspect the problem is more than “the site looks old.”
- Organizations serving several audiences (donors, volunteers, partners, the people they serve) through one website.
- Teams ready to invest in a full redesign, starting at $25,000.
Not a fit if: you only need a new visual theme, or you cannot yet name one internal owner and make time for research and feedback.
The problem
Most “we need a redesign” requests are not really about looks. In my experience it is almost always a UX or product problem: too many flows, one generic path for very different people, or a donation page that asks for commitment before it has earned trust.
The questions that decide donations are rarely asked on a sales call:
- How are we speaking to donors?
- How do we earn their trust?
- Do they understand what we do with their money?
- Are they actually reading what we think explains our impact?
A beautiful website built around the wrong assumptions is still the wrong website.
The outcome
- A donation journey rebuilt around how your supporters actually decide, starting with mobile.
- Clear paths for each audience, so donors are not lost among volunteer, program and partner content.
- A site your own team can update and run.
- A measurement plan agreed up front, so we can both see whether donations are moving.
How it works
01
Start from the objective. What should change outside the website if this project succeeds? We tie that to a user action, a baseline and a way to measure progress.
02
Research the real problem. We talk with the people involved and review how the site is used today, to find the problems that are not visible from the screens alone.
03
Map each audience. Donors, volunteers, staff and the people you serve get their own use cases instead of one generic journey.
04
Design the donation journey first. Trust, clarity and fewer steps between intent and a completed gift, built mobile first.
05
Build and hand off. Responsive front-end and CMS, with accessibility built in and your team trained to run it.
06
Measure and keep improving. We review results during the 90-day post-launch window. If results lag, we keep working until it does, within that 90-day window.
Project length: scoped to your goals.

Pricing
Full nonprofit redesigns start at $25,000. Final scope and price depend on research depth, number of audiences and templates, integrations, migration and support. You get an itemized proposal after our first conversation.
FAQ
- “$25,000 is a lot for a website.”
- Judge it by what it should change. If your donation page loses people who already decided to give, the cost is already being paid every month. A cheaper proposal that leaves research, content or migration to your team is not cheaper in practice.
- “What if the new site doesn’t grow donations?”
- We agree on the outcome and how we will measure it before we start. If results lag, we keep working within the 90-day post-launch window.
- “We just need a refresh, not research.”
- Research is how we find out what to keep, what to fix and what to rebuild — so you don’t pay for a full rebuild you don’t need.
- “You’re a remote studio. Will that work?”
- Remote lets you choose expertise over proximity. We set a named team, agreed working hours, documented decisions and clear feedback deadlines on day one.
- “Do you understand nonprofits?”
- We have done this for WWF-Canada and Mercy For Animals. Your mission, community and constraints still shape the work.
- “Will we own the site?”
- Your organization owns the final code and files.
