A Law Firm Website Design Agency Built on a Decade of Results

Ten years. 500+ products shipped. Long enough to know that someone choosing a lawyer is not making a purchase decision. They are scared, they are comparing four firms in four browser tabs, and they are judging your competence in seconds from a page they will never mention to you.

We have worked across the categories where trust is the entire conversion: fintech, healthcare technology, enterprise software, and professional services. Different industries, same problem underneath. Sites that look credible and do not convert.

We don't just make law firm websites look more serious. We make them fill the intake calendar, inside the guardrails legal marketing requires.

WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW

Fabiano Castro & Clem, LLP

38%more consultation requests in the first three months after launch.

A workers' compensation practice whose site spoke in the firm's language rather than the injured worker's, and buried the credentials that would have settled the trust question in the first screen. We rebuilt the practice-area pages as self-contained arguments and put the path to a consultation in front of the people who were already ready to take it.

"WANDR understood our practice and the audience we speak to, and rebuilt our site around it. It finally reflects the firm's reputation, and the quality of the inquiries coming through it has noticeably improved."Maurice Castro, Partner, Fabiano Castro & Clem, LLP

Zoe Financial

175%lift in self-scheduling conversion, from 8% to 22%.

A trust-sensitive category where prospects judged credibility in seconds, then hit an onboarding flow asking for sensitive financial details before it had earned them. Conversion sat near 10% against a 20% target. We resequenced the flow so value came before the ask, rebuilt the brand, and left a design system behind.

"The communication and support were top-notch, and that made for an enjoyable experience. We're already getting traffic and seeing growth in our marketing funnels."Dillon Ferguson, Head of Product, Zoe Financial

Every engagement starts the same way. We look at your analytics, study how prospective clients in your practice areas actually search and decide, audit the current site, and find the friction that is costing you consultations. Then we fix it.

Phase 01Discover
01

Diagnose

We audit your site against legal conversion benchmarks. Where are prospective clients dropping off? Where is the messaging speaking to other lawyers instead of to a frightened non-lawyer? We find it before we design anything.

Phase 02Plan
02

Strategy

A prioritized roadmap tied to intake outcomes. Messaging architecture, practice-area journey mapping, compliance requirements, and SEO structure agreed before a single page is designed.

Phase 03Design
03

Design & Prototyping.

Conversion-focused practice-area pages, clear calls to action, honest trust signals, and a mobile-first layout with one-tap calling. Everything a prospective client touches is designed intentionally.

Phase 04Deliver
04

Testing & Validation.

We test the intake flow with people outside the firm and with the staff who field the calls when it fails. Friction gets found before launch, not in your consultation numbers a quarter later.

Phase 05Measure
05

Build & Measure

We build, or hand off to your developers with design-quality auditing throughout. Then we track consultation requests, lead quality, time on page, and bounce rate. If it is not moving the number, we change it.

Why Wandr?

A Law Firm Website Design Agency Needs to Fill the Intake Calendar.
‍And We Guarantee It.

01 · The team

Designers who understand high-stakes trust decisions.

You work directly with senior designers and strategists who have designed for anxious, high-consideration buyers across fintech, healthtech, enterprise software, and professional services. Categories where credibility is the whole game and the rules on what you can claim are real. No juniors learning your practice areas on your budget.

01
02 · The method

Research-driven, not brand-guideline-driven.

We start with your prospective clients, not your brand book. We audit existing performance, map how people actually choose a firm, and build messaging around what those clients need to hear rather than what the partners assume they want to say. We challenge assumptions, including yours, including ours.

02
03 · Terms

Performance guarantee.

Most firms see measurable improvement within their first full intake cycle. If your website does not improve conversions by at least 15% within the first year post-launch, we keep working at no additional cost until it does. We agree on the success criteria at kickoff so there is no ambiguity about what we are working toward.

03
The difference

Same expertise. A website that finally sells it.

WANDR partnered with J&G Law, a firm in Greenville, NC, to redesign a site stuck on a fixed-width desktop layout with no practice-area pages and no way to reach the firm online. Practice-area architecture, attorney bios and case results built into the page, and a mobile-first intake flow built to turn searchers into signed clients.

BeforeAfter
Before WANDR
  • ✕A fixed-width desktop layout built before smartphones existed, unreadable on the devices most visitors were arriving on
  • ✕No practice-area pages at all, just a single page of paragraphs listing what the firm handles
  • ✕Attorney bios and case results either missing or sitting behind PDF links
  • ✕One set of flows serving both security engineers and risk analysts
After WANDR
  • ✓121% more consultation requests in the first three months after launch
  • ✓Each practice area rebuilt as its own page and its own pitch, with the client's problem explained before the firm's credentials
  • ✓Attorney bios, case results, and verified reviews on the page itself, presented within Model Rule 7.1
  • ✓One-tap calling and a short intake form, designed mobile-first

Who this is for

You understand that your website is your highest-volume intake specialist, working every hour of every day, with no script and nobody to catch the confusion. Every unclear headline, every abandoned contact form, every visitor who left without reaching out is a case that went to the firm across town.

We work with managing partners, founding attorneys, and law firm marketing directors who know their firm deserves more than the current site is delivering. Whether you are a boutique competing against national brands, a growing practice adding attorneys faster than the site can keep up, or an established firm modernizing something dated, we start with your prospective clients and design backward from there.

Frequently asked.

Click any question to expand. If yours isn't here, write to us.

  1. It has to earn trust fast, for a decision the visitor is frightened of, under advertising rules that limit what you can claim.  A retail site optimizes for a quick purchase from a relaxed buyer. A law firm site has to reassure a stranger in the worst week of their year, speak to a non-lawyer in plain language rather than to other attorneys, prove competence honestly, and make booking a consultation the easiest thing on the page.  The practice-area page is the real front door. Much of your traffic never touches the homepage. Someone searches for a bankruptcy lawyer or a criminal defense attorney in their city, lands straight on that page, and decides from there. A generic services grid linking to thin, near-identical pages wastes that moment, and search engines treat it the same way. Each practice area needs to work as a self-contained pitch: an empathetic explanation of the problem, specific proof, an attorney bio, the obvious questions answered, and a consultation prompt. Our guide to best law firm website design covers the patterns that consistently convert.
  2. Because they were built to reassure the partners rather than to convert a nervous stranger who needs a lawyer today. Two failures account for most of it.  Missing or misplaced trust signals. Before a prospective client picks up the phone they need three answers: does this firm understand my problem, have they handled cases like mine, and can I trust them with something this important. The best law firm websites answer all three above the fold through case results, verified reviews, and credibility markers. Most answer them on a bio page nobody reaches.  An intake flow that adds friction at the exact moment someone decided to act. Buried phone numbers, long forms, and vague contact buttons all cost you the client at the last step. Because most of that first encounter happens on a phone, the whole flow has to work on mobile, one-tap calling included. Our breakdown of law firm mobile website design goes deeper on that.  The pattern to watch for is healthy traffic and a flat consultation number. That combination is almost always a conversion problem rather than a marketing one.
  3. Scope drives the number, and the variables are predictable.  An audit of one major flow is a fixed, contained engagement. A full firm website scales with how many practice areas and locations you cover, how much attorney and client research is required, and whether intake or case management integrations are in scope. Development, if you need it from us, is priced separately from design.  Four things move the number more than anything else:  How many practice areas the site has to carry. One focused practice is not the same problem as a firm covering eight areas across three offices. How many attorney bios and locations need building, and whether the content exists or we write it. Whether integrations are in scope, from intake software to case management to call tracking. Timeline. Compressed schedules require more people working in parallel.  We scope and price before work starts, and we will review your site and identify the top friction points at no cost first. Our guide on how to choose a law firm website design company covers what should and should not be in a proposal.
  4. Improvements usually show up in consultation requests, lead quality, time on page, and intake efficiency, in roughly that order of importance.  As one data point from a comparable high-trust category, MedTrainer saw a 23% improvement in lead flow within the first month post-launch.  We agree on the primary metric at kickoff, and we measure what fills the intake calendar rather than what makes the traffic graph look good.  Then we back it. If your website does not improve conversions by at least 15% within the first year post-launch, we keep working at no additional cost until it does.
  5. Yes to both, and they shape the design rather than getting bolted on at the end.  The American Bar Association's Model Rule 7.1 prohibits false or misleading communications about a lawyer's services, and most states mirror it. That means proof has to be aggressive and accurate at the same time, which is a design constraint as much as a legal one. State rules vary, so your firm's compliance counsel signs off on claims and disclaimers before launch.  Accessibility is the other half. We build to WCAG standards, which widens the audience that can actually use the site and reduces exposure that has become a real cost in the sector.
  6. Yes. Search intent and content structure are part of design, not a separate phase afterward.  Practice-area hierarchy, URL structure, location pages, and content planning are built into the information architecture from the start. That matters more in legal than in most categories, because practice-area and city queries are where the clients actually are, and a site organized around the firm's internal structure rarely ranks for them.
  7. Most projects run from several weeks to a few months, depending on scope.  A focused engagement on the intake flow and two or three practice areas is faster. A multi-office firm with a dozen practice areas, full attorney bios, and intake integration takes longer, and content readiness is usually the variable that moves the date rather than the design itself.  We give you a firm estimate during discovery, once we understand your practice areas, content needs, and whether development is included.
  8. Both, from solo and boutique practices to established multi-attorney firms.  We adapt to your practice areas, your market, and your intake goals. A solo practice competing on focus and a fifty-attorney firm defending its brand need very different sites, and the difference is not cosmetic.
  9. Either. Our team can build the site, or we hand off to your in-house or existing developers with design-quality auditing throughout the build so what ships matches what was designed.  The handoff failure is the most common way agency engagements go wrong, so engineering is in the conversation before design decisions are locked rather than after.
  10. A template provider is the right call when you need a credible presence quickly, you have one practice area and one office, and most of your work comes from referrals rather than search. Lower cost, faster launch, and for that situation it is the sensible option.  An agency is the right call when clients are finding you through search, when you have capacity you are not filling, or when you are competing against firms with a real marketing budget. At that point the site is a client acquisition channel and template constraints start costing more than the subscription saves.  One question to ask either way: who owns the site. Several legal website providers retain ownership, which means leaving them means starting over. With us, the files and the code are yours.
  11. Evidence of thinking, not just visual polish. Most legal portfolios show finished screens. Very few show the reasoning that produced them, and the reasoning is what you are buying.  Five questions worth asking before you sign:  Have you designed for a firm at my size, in my practice areas? Personal injury and estate planning attract different clients in different states of mind. How do you handle attorney advertising rules and accessibility? If the answer arrives after the design phase, it will be a retrofit. How do you decide what to fix first? If the answer is a design opinion rather than intake data, you will get a redesign instead of a result. Who is actually doing the work? Senior people in the pitch and juniors on the project is common. Ask who is assigned. What does success look like, and when do we measure it? An agency unwilling to name a metric before starting is unlikely to be measured against one afterward.  The strongest signal is an agency willing to tell you when a smaller engagement would serve you better.  At WANDR the process starts with a diagnostic. We audit where prospective clients are dropping off, what messaging is creating confusion, and which trust signals are missing. And we back it: if your website does not improve conversions by at least 15% within the first year post-launch, we keep working at no additional cost until it does.
